Canopy Center is a child abuse treatment and prevention 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. With a staff of 20 and over 100 volunteers (annually), we primarily serve foster children, child welfare system involved families, families who have been ordered to participate in supervised visitation and survivors of child sexual abuse.
We are also constantly working to raise awareness and influence change in policy. If your organization is interested in a tour or would like us to speak about about child abuse and neglect, family dynamics, and/or treatment issues and techniques, please contact: development@canopycenter.org.
Confidentiality
Client confidentiality is protected and maintained between programs of the agency. A client grievance procedure is available upon request. Please contact us (link to Contact Us Page) for more information.
Client Non-Discrimination Policy
Canopy Center is dedicated to fostering an equitable and diverse environment for all of our clients. We celebrate individuality, intersectionality, and all identities: providing services without discrimination based on gender, gender identity or expression, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance, or political beliefs.
Accessibility
If you need an interpreter, translator, materials in alternate formats or other accommodations to access our programs, please call (608) 241-4888 at least three business days in advance. Canopy Center is wheelchair accessible via an elevator to the lower floor of the building.
Madison General Ordinance 39.05 (MGO 39.05) prohibits a person with a disability from being denied either full access to or full participation in: 1) a service offered by a City of Madison department or 2) a service subsidized by the City. An individual may file a complaint under MGO 39.05, if a denial as described above has occurred and the denial is based solely upon the person's having a disability. The complaint procedure provided under the MGO 39.05, in addition, serves as the City of Madison's complaint procedures as required by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
You helped us make an impact in 2024.
Many of the children and families we serve receive services over the course of a year or more. Canopy Center is consistency, a safe place and hope for the future.
