Parent to Child (P2C)
The Parent to Child (P2C) Program provides supervised visits between children and a biological parent who is ordered to or has agreed to supervised visits. These visits are provided in a safe and neutral setting with trained supervisors at our office at 2445 Darwin Road, Ste. 15, Madison, WI (by Dane County Regional Airport). This program has been operating since 2015 with clients referred directly by Dane County Human Services.
We offer a safe environment and are able to serve families with sensitive situations, such as domestic abuse issues, or restraining or no-contact orders, by setting specific safety goals with each family as needed.
Families can refer themselves or be referred by a professional.
Updated 3/18/2021 P2C is able to return to a limited number of face-to-face visits at this time! We will also continue offering virtual visits for families until all our for face to face visits return. Families can refer themselves or be referred by a professional.
What Could a Family Visit Look Like?
Our space offers private visit rooms, an art room, a large backyard, and a full kitchen that families are welcome to use. We offer two different levels of supervision, full (eyes and ears on at all times) or partial (eyes on through a one-way mirror) depending on the needs of the children.
Visitation notes are created after every visit. Visitation notes will be kept on file and accessible if both parents sign a release of information for an additional fee or if they are court-ordered.
Visits may be scheduled during the following times depending on availability and with a maximum visit time of 1.5 hours:
- Monday - Sunday between 9 am and 8 pm
- $50 one-time, non-refundable intake fee to be split by both parties
- $50/hour for visits to be paid by the visiting parent at time of service unless it is court ordered otherwise
- $50 each time visitation notes are requested
- $100/day for court appearances
We accept cash, money orders, or debit/credit cards only. Payment must be made prior to services being rendered.
Canopy Center reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
